Requests for Visa Support Letters

It is the travelers responsibility to check and confirm current visa requirements to enter Italy. The world’s seventh largest economy, the Republic of Italy, is located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. It has an area of 301,340km2 and a population of 60,483,973. It has emerged from the Roman Empire, which was one of the greatest European empires to have ever existed. As a result, today the country is home to many castles and palaces, and a lot of buildings of various architectural styles, as Romanesque, Gothic, Mannerist, Baroque, and Neoclassical. Moreover, it has a coastline of 7,600 km, picturesque lakes, stunning cliffs, and many green national parks. With all these natural and man-made wonders, Italy is a huge magnet for tourists. It is estimated that over 50 million tourists visit Italy each year. Tourism is crucial to Italy’s economy, providing more than 60% of country’s national income. World travellers wishing to enter Italy for short-stays can do so by obtaining a Schengen Visa to Italy. San Marino and the Vatican City – two European microstates located within Italy – are considered part of the Schengen Area although they did not officially sign the particular documents of the agreement. For security purposes, the conference has policy for issuing official Visa Support Letters as follows:

Visa Support Letters will be issued only after you have successfully registered and paid for your conference.

Visa Support Letters can only be issued for the person accepted to attend the conference. Unfortunately we cannot issue Visa Support Letters for guests of participants.

Visa Support Letters will be issued via email in PDF format. Please contact the Conference Secretary at icslt@chairmen.orgto arrange for a Visa Support Letter. You must include:

Your name as appears on your passport
Your Date of Birth
Your Passport Number
Passport Date of Issue
Passport Date of Expiry
And, if you are an author of an accepted paper or poster, please provide the title.

Note: Obtaining a Visa Support Letter from the conference will not guarantee that your Shengen visa application will be approved. The letter is merely supplementary information that explains a visa applicant's intended purpose of travel to Italy.

 

ICSLT Invitation Letter

A Letter of Invitation is a proof that your paper submission and registration application are accepted by the conference committee board. It perhaps could help with your visa application. However, it does not guarantee you a visa. The invitation leter will be issued ONLY after you have registered and full payment has been received. Rejection of visa application cannot be the reason to require fee refund.

1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration.

2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.

3. Please note ICSLT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by ICSLT Conferences and conference Committee Board. Should your application be denied, ICSLT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will ICSLT Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.

4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
